Carnaval! Cruises
Climb aboard our cruise ship to celebrate this Carnival season!
Caribbean Carnival ("Carnaval del Caribe") is a highly anticipated cultural celebration held annually in many Caribbean islands and worldwide. At Carnaval festivals, locals and visitors come together to enjoy vibrant music, costumes, and dance, and to indulge in delicious food before the onset of Lent.
Both round-trip Carnaval! tours begin and end at Cathedral Park in North Portland, with parking in the Cathedral Park public lot and launching from the public dock.
Saturday, March 1, 2025 (7pm, adults)
Kick off the Carnival season and local Mardi Gras festivities with us as we explore North Portland from the enclosed, heated deck of our classic fantail ship "Reliant"!
This round-trip, three-hour tour caters to adults and includes night-time sightseeing, dancing to a mix of music from Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, sparkling cider and light refreshments along with hot chocolate, cider, and coffee. Being on the water at night is a delight!
Tickets are $39 per person.
Sunday, March 2, 2025 (11am, family-friendly)
This 90-minute daytime tour from Cathedral Park toward Swan Island (and back again) is perfect for families! Delight in wildlife sightings and glean local and historical insights from our knowledgeable captain as we explore North Portland from the river.
Embrace Carnaval spirit with a costume contest for kids of all ages, enjoy upbeat Caribbean music, and sip on complementary hot chocolate, cider, and coffee.
Tickets are $29 per person.
For both tours:
- Take in the tour no matter the weather from our covered, heated deck
- Borrow a pair of our binoculars during the ride
- Enjoy hot chocolate, cider, and coffee on the house
- Feel free to bring other beverages (including those for adults) and any snacks
- We encourage you to dress in layers. While our deck is cozy, you may also wish to step out onto the bow of the boat during our tour.
The "Reliant" can also be privately chartered for $999 an hour. Please send us an inquiry if you are interested in reserving the entire boat for your party of up to 47 passengers.
